The adult body length of the green snake is between 1m and 1.5m, with the longest reaching 1.8m. The complexion behind all the figures is green, very bright and beautiful, which is difficult to find in nature, especially in the woods.
The body and tail of the green snake are relatively slender, and the tail length accounts for two-fifths of the total length. The back of the adult snake is green, while that of the young snake is green. The snout is longer, the eyes are large, and the pupils are round; no cheek scales; 1 preorbital scale, 2 postorbital scales; 2(1)+3(2) temporal scales; upper lip 8 scales, 2-3-3 or 3-2-3 type; 10 scales on the lower lip, the first 5 are cut into the anterior jaw. The dorsal scales have 19-19-15 rows; the ventral scales have lateral ribs, 200-227; the anal scales are divided into two parts; the tail is light brown, and the lower tail scales also have lateral ribs, 120-149 pairs.
